• Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio

  The 38-meter-high Christ the Redeemer Monument is the hallmark of Rio de Janeiro. Every year, almost 2 million travelers from all over the world climb to the foot of the statue, located on the top of Corcovado Mountain, from where a picturesque panorama of the bay and the city opens up.

• Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden

  The Botanical Garden is located in the eponymous district of Rio de Janeiro, in the "Southern Zone" of the city. This is not a very large, but quite a nice park. Here you can get acquainted with the diversity of Brazilian and non-Brazilian flora.

• Sugarloaf Mountain

  Sugarloaf Mountain is a mysterious exotic place in Rio. What is it? A mountain 396 m high, towering over Guanabara Bay, the second most important observation deck in Rio after Corcovado. • Tijuca Forest

  The Tijuca Forest in Rio is considered the largest "urban forest" in the world. Its area is 32 square kilometers. The name itself is translated from the Tupi language as "swamp" and is associated with the Tijuca Lagoon in modern Barra da Tijuca.

• Selaron Stairs

  This staircase ("Escaderia Selaron") became famous throughout the world thanks to the Chilean artist Jorge Selaron. He laid it out with bright, colorful mosaics, dedicating his work to the Brazilian people. In 1990, the artist began restoring the old staircase, which began right in front of his house.
